I’m not in the Geology & Geophysics Department. Can students in other Departments be admitted to the Certificate program?

Only on a case by case basis. The equivalent of an undergraduate degree in Geology or Geophysics is required.

Is it possible to waive one of the core courses?

No

Can I get the Certificate without completing an M.S. or Ph.D. in Geology & Geophysics?

No

Can I substitute for a core course?

No, but you only need to take 3 of the 4 core courses.
